roofless love is about the community we build with one another. it is about being vulnerable with others, so they might be vulnerable with us. it is about finding and naming the parts of ourselves that have been unhoused - ”roofless” - and showing them love.
roofless love is also about our unbounded potential of action. it is about the strength that we have we connect around shared values and purpose - uplifting gender and racial justice, abolition, harm reduction, and housing for all. it is about transformative mental health - a paradigm shift where we undo the harms of the patriarchal, white-supremacist, capitalist state by reclaiming community care. caring for one another is our ancestral birthright. it is about de-professionalizing helping. it is about freeing up resources for communities to build the care they want to see and the care they need.
roofless love is an invitation to stand up and meet our neighbors as they are. we value difference, we make all conflict generative, and we center each person’s self-determination and bodily autonomy. we rebuild our communities and we re-assert that we are experts in our own lives. we don’t have to let the 1% divide us any longer.
